I adore this room because it costs 30 euros less a night than the canal-facing room plus you get a bright, nicely decorated room with high ceilings, nice view, and the nicest ensuite bathroom among all the rooms in Ponte Chiodo (a bathroom that is larger than others with a nice big window. The bathrooms in the rooms facing the canal are interior to the building, so no natural light passes through).

Having said that, be aware that it is a very narrow room. I would estimate that it is 7 feet wide by 12 feet long (not including the ensuite bathroom). Once you put your luggage on the floor you have very little space to walk around.

Even if the garden-facing rooms at Ponte Chiodo are budget-friendlier, I would still recommend staying in a canal-facing room if this is your first visit to Venice. I suggest this because your Venice adventure will not be complete without being able to experience opening your shutters in the morning to look down at the canal and all the local life happening around it.
