The Dragon Tree, or as it is referred to in Spain’s Canary Islands, the Dracaena Draco, is Tenerife’s natural symbol. While it is not officially a tree, it does look a lot like one when it grows to full maturity.
The branch like plant, which belongs to the asparagus family, takes 10 – 15 years to produce another growth. The only way to know how old the tree is only by counting the branching points as it takes 10 years to reach nearly 4 feet.
Lily like flowers, followed by coral colored berries grows in the tree and once the buds die, the tree starts growing. Many use the Dragon tree in their landscape and gardens as an ornamental tree owing to its slow growth and beauty.
Dragon Blood which is a reddish resin taken from the bark and leaves of this tree is used to stain Stradivarius violins because it requires rich stain and it is also used on many other items. The tree is used not only for ornamental purposes but also for medicinal use.

Among all the famous tourist spots in Moscow Red Square is the main hot spot for tourists. Earlier it was a slum but now it is considered as the most happening place in the town. In the Russian language Red square has two different meanings. Red square denotes beautiful as well as a color, which is blood red. The name of this place is associated with the history. In the reign of Ivan this place was a victim of great bloodshed.
St. Basil’s Cathedral is one of Russia’s most impressive sites. The large cathedral contains nine smaller cathedrals within it. Legend has it that Ivan the Terrible ordered that the eyes of the architects be burned out so that it would be impossible for them ever creates something of such beauty again. This stunning cathedral is a foremost example of Russian architecture. The eyes of its visitors to the building are drawn its onion-shaped domes and stunning colors.
Each of the interior nine cathedrals has an onion colored dome over the top. The building was built in the year 1552 to capture Tartar. Inside the decor is awe-inspiring with bright colors and decorative works of art. No one has even seen such as stunning site and it is the most recognized cathedral in the entire world. Along with many historical elements like the Lennon’s tomb, to see in Red Square, there is also a major shopping center with western influence and European fashion. Today it is difficult to believe that this was a place where once many lost their lives and great blood was shed. It is now a main market place in Russia where many come to buy and sell goods, shop for clothes and spend a day with family and friends.
When traveling to Russia, there are many things that must be seen and the entire Red Square area is one of them. More specifically, when in Red Square, make sure to stop and see the famous cathedral that caused one man his site and was actually build as a prison. Many stand in awe when they behold the beauty of the Saint Basil’s Cathedral. A building so beautiful was used for such a terrible purpose. Today, it is a reminder of the beautiful way Postnik Yakovlev interpreted John the Revelators vision.
When visiting this area, the Saint Basil’s Cathedral is an area that one must visit. The pictures will be something to share with family and friends for years to come.

Because public transportation is non-existent outside of Reykjavik, renting a car is the cheapest way to see Iceland. Renting a car on the island is cheaper than the sightseeing tours sold through the tourist information centers, and gives you a lot more flexibility to explore Iceland. Below are several ways to rent a car in Iceland without blowing your travel budget.
Go on-line: The best deals can be found online for Iceland car rentals. We cut our cost in half by going through Hertz.com as opposed to renting a car from the tourist center, and by about $25 from walk-in quotes from rental agencies in Reykjavik. Later, we found out about SADcars.com, which is by far the cheapest rental car company in Iceland. They even offer a 15 discount if you book online.
Get your rental car at Keflavik International Airport: The airport is located approximately an hour from Reykjavik, so in order to get to the city you can either pick up your rental car at the airport or pay $20-$25 each way to get to and from the airport on the shuttle bus.
