3 Vacation Ideas

Wednesday, March 21st, 2012

If you’re looking for some good ideas on where to go on your next vacation, this article will definitely help you make the right choice. I’m going to share with you three good vacation spots from all over the world. Each of these places is very popular among tourists because of tourist facilities and attractions. Here they are:

1. Spain, Italy, Greece, Malta and Portugal

South European countries such as Spain, Italy, Greece, Malta and Portugal are one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. Maybe it’s because of great climate, maybe it’s because of many historic sites, maybe it’s because of great beaches. No matter what the reason is, you can be sure that Southern Europe is one of the top destinations and you’ll surely enjoy your vacations there.

Southern Europe isn’t as affordable as Mexico, Belize or some countries in Central, but it isn’t as expensive as most Pacific Ocean countries or countries in the Caribbean. If you want to spend your vacation in a developed, yet reasonably priced country, Southern Europe might be a good idea.

2. South East Asia

South East Asia is one of the most affordable regions in the world. It’s popular among all types of tourists: from backpackers and newlywed couples to families and retirees. South East Asia has something interesting for everyone. Most people who want to enjoy classic beach vacation usually choose Thai islands in the Andaman Sea.

In general, Thailand, Malaysia and Bali offer the best attractions and accommodation options in South East Asia. If you’re looking for a classic place designed for mass tourism, you’ll surely love Ko Samui or Phuket province (it includes some beautiful tropical islands) in Thailand or Bali in Indonesia.

3. Countries in the Caribbean Sea

Island countries in the Caribbean are one of the best choices for people who want to go on a short vacation. It’s very easy and cheap to get to most Caribbean countries which isn’t the case with some places in South East Asia or the Pacific Ocean. The Caribbean is a perfect destination for winter getaway.

The most popular destinations in the Caribbean include the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and Jamaica. Each of these places is known for beautiful white sand beaches surrounded by crystal clear waters of the Caribbean Sea. If you want to get away from it all, you can also choose smaller countries or overseas territories such as Dominica or Guadeloupe.

Each of these vacation spots is definitely a perfect idea for vacation. Please remember that before you make the final decision, you should ask other people for advice. You should always do some research before you make a decision regarding your destination.

A Traveler’s Guide To Bellevue, WA

Thursday, March 1st, 2012

Visiting the Pacific Northwest? Be sure to visit the bustling and innovative city of Bellevue, WA. It’s pretty easy to get bogged down with all of the other tourists and attractions in downtown Seattle. So, on your trip, check out one of the best up-and-coming cities right across the I-90 bridge! Bellevue offers breathtaking views, a crisp downtown, upscale shopping, great restaurants, a fantastic art museum, performing arts, really great golf courses, and offers a closer proximity to outdoors activities like hiking and camping.

Bellevue, WA was incorporated in 1953 and is joined to Seattle by two bridges. The 520 recently added a toll, so if you are visiting on a budget, you may want to stick with I-90. Bellevue is home to a lot of technology companies as well as some major corporations like Eddie Bauer, Expedia, T Mobile, Drugstore.com, Sharebuilder, Symmetra, and Microsoft.

There are many hotels to choose from in the downtown area of Bellevue. The Hyatt-Regency, Hotel Bellevue, and the Westin are all four star hotels offering tons of amenities in which you can take a breather from your hectic tourist attractions. While you’re there, take a trip to ‘The Bravern’ for some up-scale shopping in an outdoor mall environment. There is some fantastic architecture surrounding the stores to really get you in the shopping spirit. It just makes you ‘feel’ high class going there. This outdoor shopping experience boasts such names as Louis Vuitton and Neiman Marcus. Once you are done with your high-end shopping, and you still have some money to burn, go check out Bellevue Square. Bellevue Square offers a greater diversity of stores and restaurants, and personally, is more of a fit to experience true ‘Bellevue.’ This indoor shopping area has so many restaurants and entertaining outings, that you can literally find something to do here every time of the day. If you are here in the evening, there are a few restaurants that turn into nightclubs to light up the evening hours. There is also a great piano bar and billiards hall if dancing the night away isn’t really your thing.

The restaurants in Bellevue, mainly Bellevue Square, are fantastic. After a long day of shopping, you can cuddle up to whatever your stomach desires! McCormick & Schmicks is always a crowd favorite, but you can also experience some locally owned restaurants like Blue C Sushi and Boom Noodle. There are literally dozens of restaurants and none of them, bad. There are so many restaurants to choose from, you may want to grab a little something from each one!

Bellevue, WA may be a little smaller than Seattle, but it’s younger metropolitan vibe is an experience in itself. Without Bellevue, Seattle could have just been grunge music and hipsters. Bellevue brings a taste of elegance and sophistication to its flavorful sister, Seattle. If you are planning a trip to the Pacific Northwest, visit Bellevue. You won’t be disappointed.

Be sure to visit Tom Perkins’ 10 Bellevue page on twitter for more information, or you can go to the 10 Bellevue F.A.Q. page for more answers to your questions.

How to Choose the Best Tropical Vacation Spot?

Saturday, January 21st, 2012

Many people would like to spend their vacation in the tropics. Unfortunately, many of them choose the wrong spot, because they don’t know how to plan tropical vacation. In this article you’ll find five tips that will help you choose the best tropical vacation spot for you.

1. What are you looking for?

If you want to choose the best destination for your vacation, you have to know your priorities. Is it proximity to the United States? Many waters sports to choose from? White sandy beaches and calm lagoons? Privacy? Interesting culture? Ecotourism? Make a list of your requirements before you make a list of all your potential vacation spots. It’s one of the most important tips in this article.

2. Consider your travel budget

Keep in mind that many tropical nations are very expensive, because they have to import many things (even food). Places like Republic of Maldives in the Indian Ocean or French Polynesia in the South Pacific are extremely beautiful, but they are also extremely expensive so they aren’t good places for budget vacation. Always check local economy and local prices, because even if accommodation is relatively inexpensive, high prices of food or transportation may make your vacation very expensive.

3. Check local climate and weather

Most tropical countries have only two seasons: the dry season and the wet season. If you want to experience the best weather, go in the middle of the dry season. Some places are extremely rainy in the rainy season and it isn’t worth money to go on vacation there if it rains every single day.

4. Is it safe and family-friendly?

If you want to go on vacation with your family, this is one of the most important issues. Always check if your potential destination is a safe country (there are many troubled tropical nations) and always check if they are suitable for small children (you don’t want to take your children to a place which is famous for a tropical virus).

5. Read a lot about your potential destinations

Never ever choose a vacation spot before you ask other people about it. If you want to really enjoy your vacation, choose a place which is recommend by many people. Some countries off the beaten path may be original, but it doesn’t mean that they’ll meet your requirements (many of them have inadequate infrastructure). Use the Web to research your potential destinations and ask other travelers for advice.

Doing these five things will not only prevent you from disappointment, but will also help you choose the best place and consequently make your vacation memorable. Have fun!
